Hi, I'm Jimmy Wu, a Computer Science graduate from the University at Buffalo with a passion for building modern, user-focused software. I enjoy developing full-stack applications while exploring areas like artificial intelligence and machine learning.
I'm naturally curious and love learning new technologies, software, and tools. I enjoy challenging myself with unfamiliar concepts, adapting quickly to new environments, and continuously looking for opportunities to grow as a developer. I primarily work with React, Next.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and Python to build responsive, scalable applications with clean, maintainable code.
I enjoy both independent and collaborative work. Whether I'm taking ownership of a project or brainstorming ideas with teammates, I'm always looking for creative solutions and ways to turn ideas into polished, production-ready products.
When I'm not coding, you can find me playing pickleball, on the basketball court, or catching up on the latest anime and K-pop releases. I'm also an avid gamer who enjoys a variety of games, including Deadlock, Valorant, League of Legends, Overwatch, and Minecraft. Whether it's competitive multiplayer or exploring creative worlds, I enjoy the different experiences each game has to offer.

A collection of my recent work, ranging from web applications to mobile utilities and AI-powered tools.
An interactive educational sandbox for visualizing sequential algorithms and parallel computing models. Unlike traditional algorithm visualizers, AlgoAnimate explores multi-processor execution, shared memory systems, and communication topologies through real-time simulations.
A developer career intelligence platform that centralizes job applications, GitHub activity, and engineering progress into one dashboard. DevScope combines application tracking, GitHub analytics, and a Chrome extension for automated job data extraction to help developers manage and optimize their career journey.
A full-stack web application to help students efficiently find available parking across the UB campus. Designed a responsive and intuitive user interface with React and Tailwind CSS, and developed backend functionality using PHP and SQL to handle data storage, user interactions, and dynamic parking availability updates.
An AI-powered tool that converts PDF resumes to images, analyzes them using Google Gemini, returns ATS-style scoring, and stores past submissions locally for review.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of a React-based educational platform integrating STEM learning and chess. Worked on a gamification and virtual currency system to support user engagement and reward-based experiences. Review and test pull requests to verify functional requirements, validate edge cases, and maintain code quality. Write and maintain automated tests for new features and API endpoints to ensure reliability and prevent regressions.
Law Office of Lee M. Nigen
Support daily law firm operations by preparing and organizing legal documents, communicating with clients, and managing document filing and electronic submissions through the New York State Courts Electronic Filing (NYSCEF) system. Assist with email correspondence, virtual meeting setup, and court coordination, including communicating with court personnel to facilitate attorney attendance and proceedings.

Contributed to the development of FamTok, a mobile telecommunications application available on iOS and Android, supporting one-to-one and group calling and integrated payment functionality. Worked on frontend features using Flutter and Dart, and supported backend services using Python and Express.js to enable real-time communication and API integrations
